Kate Smart attended Mount Holyoke College for Art Studio, graduating in 2008. Since then she has lived in Boston and in Jacksonville FL, where her art has been displayed downtown. Her work is concerned with the shape and texture of memory, particularly with the power of remembered places. She seeks to express the importance of possibility and hope as communicated by the abstract landscape. She loves the unending opportunities for discovery and impact that can be found in the juxtaposition of color and shape. Here you can see examples of her artwork, both old and new.
